WEST DENVER, COLORADO (KRDO) — Scheels, a new sporting goods store in the Interest area, held its grand opening on Saturday, March 27. Like Cabela’s or Ikea, Scheels is more than simply a regular store. Scheels wrote on Facebook, “It’s been so exciting to watch the Scheels Colorado Springs store and such an amazing group of people come together. Over the past year, we’ve added over 350 local Colorado Springs residents to our ambitious squad of just over 60 seasoned transfers.

Partnership With Local Organizations
Through the course of the year, the Scheels Colorado Springs staff works with over a hundred local nonprofits to provide financial and in-kind donations, as well as to sponsor local events. Customers are greeted by a massive salt-water aquarium that holds 16,000 gallons as they enter the establishment. Just beyond the bright fish is a beautiful inside Ferris wheel, which is much more exhilarating to ride. Tokens can be purchased for $1.00 per person at any cash register or customer service.
A Kid-Friendly Candy Factory Run By Mr. Fezziwig
Check out “Fezziwig’s Candy Factory,” a store stocked with treats including Swedish fish, gumballs, gummy bears, and gumballs. Oreos coated in chocolate, pretzels covered in chocolate, and giant peanut butter cups are all available for the chocoholic. It’s difficult to make a decision when there are so many fantastic options.
As a Kind of Recreation, a Little Zoo
It’s common practise to display taxidermied animals. Scheels Colorado Springs may have more animals than the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, although they are not nearly as lively. Scheels Like to other major franchises, Colorado Springs features a taxidermy exhibit. The sculpture is see from many different vantage points inside the store, as it is place atop a false mountain. The day of our visit, like the previous time he remembered, was overcast and cold. It’s one of the factors we’ll consider while deciding where to go.
